What is the playing style of the different Space Marine chapters in Warhammer 40k?

I'm thinking of getting back into warhammer 40k and i was thinking of making a new chapter for the SM as my army. i was wondering the different playing styles of some of the existing chapters and what one i should go for. i'm kind of looking for a style that uses long range shooting and hit and run tactics. but any sugestions would help. What is the playing style of the different Space Marine chapters in Warhammer 40k?
Generally speaking, all space marines work pretty much the same way. The Black Templars, Blood Angels and forthcoming Space Wolves (codex coming in Autumn this year, apparently) are all more naturally focused on combat than shooting, but can still do both. Codex Space Marines are more balanced in that respect. Dark Angels are similar, although they also have the Ravenwing and Deathwing lists that are more specialized in their own way.

All space marine armies benefit from a good balance of shooting and combat units, but they aren't really the masters of either tactic.

An Eldar army, with long range shooting from, say, a Fire Prism or artillery squads, combined with hit-and-run attacks by jetbikers, aspect warriors and harlequins would be superior in this respect.

Similarly, a Tau army, with the notorious rail cannons on the baseline - whether on mobile Broadside suits or Devilfish tanks - and fast-hitting Kroot and Vespid units closing to combat, would probably be superior in these areas to a space marine army.

Having said all that, marines are above-average across the board, with no serious inherent weaknesses, whereas Eldar and Tau are notoriously fragile if out of position. What is the playing style of the different Space Marine chapters in Warhammer 40k?
if your making your own chapter with long range and hit and run abilitys you want to pack your sm in rinos or give them Jump packs and arm the rest with long range ie hvy bolters, las guns, or missles, buy making them devistators with max hvy wpns.
